Maritime problems
in Egypt.
Clearer ways forward.
From vessel damage and machinery breakdowns to urgent spares and specialist support, we help shipowners and managers define the requirement and find a practical next step.
CLEAR NEXT STEPS.↗
No clear local contact.
Whether you are a shipowner, technical manager, operator, agent or insurer, describe the situation first. We focus on defining the scope and identifying appropriate local options.
Tell us the problem.
Not the solution.
You should not have to know the right contractor, workshop or technical discipline before asking for support. Start with the facts you have.
Vessel damage
& incidents
Contact damage, suspected structural defects, cargo-related concerns and unforeseen events.
Describe the incident → 02↗Breakdowns
& technical repairs
Machinery faults, piping leaks, steelwork, equipment issues and urgent attendance needs.
Explain the fault → 03↗Spares, supplies
& sourcing
Hard-to-find parts, technical consumables, vessel stores and time-sensitive requirements.
Describe the requirement →Local challenges.
Structured responses.
An urgent requirement in an unfamiliar port creates technical and commercial uncertainty. The CRETODUS concept is designed to help clarify the problem, identify potentially suitable resources, and define responsibilities before work is committed.
Technical requirements.
Practical options.
Repair, engineering and sourcing enquiries shaped around the vessel’s actual technical requirements. Resource availability, access and approvals are assessed for each assignment.
One clear process.
Fewer unanswered questions.
A proposed case-by-case process built around the information that matters to an owner, manager or technical superintendent.
Explain the situation
Provide the vessel, port, urgency and what is known.
Define the scope
Clarify missing details, constraints and the required outcome.
Check local options
Review potential providers, timing, feasibility and permissions.
Confirm responsibilities
Set out scope, commercial terms, executing party and next steps.
Built around the people responsible for the vessel.
We are developing a case-led service for maritime decision-makers who need relevant local options, not a generic directory of suppliers.
Know what to expect.
Do I need to know exactly which service I need?
No. Start with a concise description of the issue, location and required timeframe. The appropriate technical scope can then be discussed.
Does CRETODUS own a ship repair workshop?
No ownership of repair facilities is claimed. Execution, when offered, may be arranged through a suitably identified and authorized contractor. The executing and contracting entities must be made clear in any formal quotation or agreement.
Can you undertake work at every Egyptian port?
Availability is assessed case by case against the actual port, scope, resources, access and required authorisations. We do not guarantee coverage.
Can I send an emergency request through this website?
Not yet. This is a private pre-launch prototype. The form creates a local brief only and does not contact a response team. For immediate danger, contact the vessel master and the relevant authorities.
Your vessel has a need.
Start with clarity.
Send a concise technical enquiry with the essential facts. It helps structure the conversation with the appropriate specialist or service provider.
Send an enquiry ↗Based in Alexandria, Egypt. Assignments and geographic availability are evaluated individually, subject to confirmed resources, port access and contract terms.
Are you a qualified provider? ↗Private pre-launch concept: no enquiry is transmitted or monitored. For immediate danger to life, navigation or the environment, contact the vessel master and relevant port or maritime authorities directly.
